Shipping Policy
At AJ Gonzalez JDM, every engine is carefully inspected, prepared, and secured for freight transportation before it leaves our facility. Because engines are shipped by freight carrier rather than standard parcel services, please review the information below before placing your order.
Shipping Rate
JDM Engines: Flat Rate Shipping – $150
All engine orders are shipped within the United States via R+L Carriers Freight Service.
This shipping rate includes standard curbside delivery. Freight carriers are not authorized to move shipments into garages, homes, workshops, or other private areas. Delivery will be made to the nearest accessible location at the delivery address.
Order Processing & Transit Times
Orders are processed within 1–2 business days
Orders placed before 4:00 PM MST, Monday through Friday, may ship the same business day when inventory is available
Typical transit time is 3–7 business days, depending on destination and freight schedules
Transit times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
Freight Carrier
Engine shipments are delivered through R+L Carriers LTL Freight Service.
All engines are shipped on a pallet and secured for transportation. Residential deliveries include liftgate service where available. Customers located in rural areas, gated communities, restricted-access locations, or areas with limited truck access may be required to coordinate an alternate delivery location with the carrier.
Packaging & Preparation
Before shipment, each engine is:
Drained of applicable fluids
Secured to a freight pallet
Professionally shrink-wrapped and protected for transport
Inspected prior to shipment
We take reasonable precautions to ensure every engine leaves our facility properly packaged and ready for freight transportation.
Delivery Inspection Requirements
Customers are responsible for inspecting the shipment at the time of delivery.
Before signing the delivery receipt, inspect the pallet and packaging for any visible signs of damage, including:
Broken pallet boards
Torn shrink wrap
Impact damage
Missing items
Fluid leaks
If damage is present:
Note "DAMAGED" on the carrier's delivery receipt.
Take photographs of the shipment before unloading.
Notify AJ Gonzalez JDM as soon as possible.
If severe damage is present, you may refuse delivery.
Once a delivery receipt is signed without damage notation, freight carriers may deny damage claims. AJ Gonzalez JDM cannot guarantee approval of claims for concealed or undocumented shipping damage.
Delivery Appointments
Freight carriers typically contact customers before delivery to schedule an appointment window.
Please ensure that the phone number provided during checkout is accurate and monitored. Failure to respond to carrier communications may result in storage charges, delayed delivery, or additional carrier fees.
Any fees assessed by the carrier due to missed appointments or inability to contact the customer are the responsibility of the customer.
Missed Deliveries & Re-Delivery Fees
If a scheduled delivery appointment is missed or refused for reasons unrelated to shipping damage, the freight carrier may charge additional fees for storage, re-delivery, or return transportation.
Any such charges are the responsibility of the customer and must be paid before further delivery arrangements can be made.
Shipping Address Requirements
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.
Additional fees may apply for:
Address corrections
Re-routing shipments after dispatch
Refused deliveries
Missed delivery appointments
Limited-access delivery locations
Any carrier charges resulting from incorrect information provided by the customer are the customer's responsibility.
Shipping Delays
While we work closely with our freight partners to ensure timely delivery, circumstances beyond our control may affect transit times, including:
Severe weather
Traffic disruptions
Mechanical breakdowns
Freight terminal delays
High seasonal shipping volumes
AJ Gonzalez JDM is not responsible for delays that occur after a shipment has been released to the freight carrier.
