Direct replacement for the 2013-2019 Subaru Legacy 2.5i, pulled from a low-mileage JDM donor vehicle. The FB25 replaced the outgoing EJ253 with a longer stroke, dual AVCS (Active Valve Control System) on both intake and exhaust cams, and a lighter block — the result is a noticeably smoother powerband and better fuel economy without sacrificing the flat-four’s low-end torque.
